Can anyone within FDMV provide an update on when (or if) FDMV Foam 1 will ever be placed back into full time service? Given the fact the FDMV has that Old Airport Rig sitting in the back is a waste of wonderful equipment. I am sure that the rank n' file within FDMV would surely want this unit placed back into service. Any updates?
The status of Faom 1 is just like you see, its sitting there. The dept. still has that bad Ernie blood in it and we are giving Mr. Young time to help us out. That being said Tower 1 in sitting in 3rd.St,. house for several months now and thats not being addressed,

We can't even get a 3rd truck in service and people are worrying about a foam truck. Give it to a real professional and progressive Dept. like Yonkers or New Rochelle and if we need it we'll call for it like we always do with them for even the smallest of Jobs.There's more of a chance of Cornacchio coming back on the job, then that thing being put into service

Your absolutely right about the biggest fear is facing each other. Now if the Mayor, his elected Officials, the Chief of the Dept. and the Commissioners would stop listening to and fearing certain individuals and organizations, believing everything they say as gospel and afraid to stand up against them, then maybe we could all get along. Then we'd see no whispering in corners, fakers and hatred. Let's stop stabbing each other in the back to attain our own personal agenda. Maybe then we could truly be a Union, like we profess we are. Let's stop the HYPOCRACY and start acting like the Professionals we're suppose to be. Shit, Vollies have more loyalty towards each other.
What happened to the fd. I hate to see the sad things that are going on down there. Its time for a change.
